Silent Night

Composer: Franz Gruber

I wrote this arrangement of Silent Night for my choir and orchestra in 2013.  They really enjoyed it and I hope that others will as well.  It is scored for SATB Choir, Oboe, 1st & 2nd French Horn, Glockenspiel (bells), Violin 1 and 2, Viola, Cello, and Bass.  The 1st French Horn part is extremely high, so in the event that you do not have a really professional horn player, I have included a Trumpet part that can be substituted.

The download file includes a full score, choir parts, all of the orchestra parts, and a choir score with a piano reduction.

This recording is by the International Choir & Orchestra of Ho Chi Minh City at St. Paul's Convent Chapel in December, 2015.

A delight to listen and beautifully arranged, that goes for including fractions of both German and English lyrics. Key change for last verse effectively builds up sentiment toward the ending. Well done!
